Magic Toffee
 
 
So easy and so tasty! Love is the secret ingredient. - Now it's not a secret.
 
1 sleeve    Saltine Crackers  
1 cup    dark brown sugar  
8 oz    butter (2 sticks)  
12 oz    semi-sweet chocolate chips  
1 cup    chopped nuts (anykind you like, I like to use hazelnuts)  
 
1 Preheat oven to 375°
2 Line a 10 x 15" cookie sheet with aluminum foil and lay out the saltines.
3 Melt the butter and brown sugar in a sauce pan on medium heat until it boils; boil for 3 minutes. Pour this toffee mixture over the crackers evenly. Put the pan in the oven for 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and let stand for 1 minute.
4 Pour the chocolate chips on top of the crackers and toffee and spread around until melted. Sprinkle nuts on top and refrigerate.
5 After it has fully cooled peel the toffee off the aluminum foil and break into pieces by hand.
